Hiking Boots and What to Take
Having the right shoes is important for going on a hike. This helps prevent blisters and discomfort while walking. Even when it has rained and the (forest) path is muddy, hiking boots are not a luxury. Hiking boots provide more grip than sneakers, reducing the risk of slipping on slippery terrain.
Whether you're going for a short or long hike, it's wise to at least bring a water bottle and some snacks. A sandwich and a piece of fruit can also be enjoyable during the walk. It's useful in case something happens, you get lost, or if the hiking route takes longer than expected. Bringing a phone with navigation is also a good idea.
